I truly enjoy them. But I am prone to crying at any kind of sentimental thing, even if it's a little cheesy. I sometimes wonder if the kids really "get" how much their anscestors really went through. I think I'll write about this topic on my blog. Hope you don't mind me stealing the topic.
LLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07956047789423549096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33737849.post-57646329074396999072008-02-29T06:16:00.000-08:002008-02-29T06:16:00.000-08:00It's hard for me to imagine not having big Black H...It's hard for me to imagine not having big Black History programs here. Our whole district is something like 90% African-American. There are a handful of schools in the Memphis City Schhol System that are more racially diverse, but we have separate county and city goverments and school systems here, and within the city, most of the white kids either go to private schools or a handful of Optional (magnet) schools. My school is one of the top three public high schools in Memphis, and we do have some white kids (maybe 50 in the whole school, on the high end), about an equal number of Hispanic students, and smaller groups of Middle eastern, Asian, and African ESL students.Sweet Sassy Molassyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07955536215422459315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33737849.post-54277802302044847132008-02-29T04:34:00.000-08:002008-02-29T04:34:00.000-08:00Wow. Our big claim to diversity in my St. Paul suburb is--Hey, who are you calling homogenous, look, we're not ALL blonde.

That's really cool, Sassy.Ritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06434151165867029916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33737849.post-22419494499696126922008-02-28T17:18:00.000-08:002008-02-28T17:18:00.000-08:00that sounds great, sassy.that sounds great, sassy.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15537633934024273663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33737849.post-15408950480352038612008-02-28T13:06:00.000-08:002008-02-28T13:06:00.000-08:00That's about a yard of yar. That's about a yard of yar.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12161131180746249142noreply@blogger.com
